If you prefer to get behind the wheel and make the most of the amazing views, you’ll need to follow the Auto Toll Road to get to the Summit Ridge of the mountain. From here, you’ll be treated to gorgeous views out and over the Adirondack Mountains with Lake Champlain within view too. Some would say this is the ultimate view in Stowe, but you’ll have to decide for yourself. Do keep in mind that the toll road requires a $29 fee and vehicles cannot carry trailers. RVs, campers, mopeds, scooters, motorcycles, and bicycles are restricted as well. The toll road is open daily from 9:30 am until 4:30 between May 28 and October 17 with the entrance sitting just 4.5 miles from Stowe.

While there definitely options to choose from, Moss Glen Falls is a fan-favorite and has earned the title as one of Vermont’s largest cascades at 85 feet. Visitors can easily drive to the Moss Glen Falls trailhead and then trek the quarter-mile route to reach their final destination.
